GOD MOST HIGH
Psalm 91:14-16. It reads, “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him. I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” (read it again with your name in place of he/him and meditate on this truth for yourself)
Holding fast to Him in love– Having continual belief, being secure in faith, and being confident in Him and who He is.
Know His name– To discern and distinguish His name above others, to know Him BY EXPERIENCE! Can you hear someone speak of God and discern if what they are saying is accurate to who He is? When something happens, good or bad, is your first thought of Him and His characteristics like his steadfast faithfulness, abounding in love, slow to anger, gracious, merciful, Immanuel, etc. To know His name is to know the truth of who He is and to HOLD FAST, HOLD ON to it! Be confident in who He is and your relationship to Him because of Jesus.
Lastly, to call on Him– proclaim, cry out, invite, PRAY! Prayer can be hard for some. Do we have to say it eloquently or say the right words? No, it says in verse 15, WHEN not IF. Not if you say it right, not if you use the magic word, not if you have refrained from sinning today, not only if you did 3 good things today, not if you read your Bible today, not if you told someone about Him today. “WHEN he (she) calls to me, I will answer him (her).”
